New York native Anastacia Song first started in the hospitality industry balancing school and work in the front of house as a server, bartender, manager, general manager and beverage director.  In this duration, she realized her passion and interests fell behind the scenes in the kitchen and began her culinary career as a cook bouncing between pastry and savory stations across NJ & NYC before focusing to learn from Chef Harold Moore at Commerce. She lead the opening of Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse in NYC as Executive Sous and went on to lead the opening of Porta Jersey City as Chef de Cuisine before returning to New York City to helm the kitchen as Executive Chef at Martha in Fort Greene, BK and Culinary Director of Treehaus in Midtown, Manhattan. Song went on to become Executive Chef for LDV Hospitality’s American Cut and was then hired by DRG to lead the opening and introduction of Kumi NYC as the Property Executive Chef where she harmonized modern Japanese and Korean-American cuisine while leading the opening of the culinary program for LiFE Rooftop at Le Meridien Central Park.  She signed on briefly as the Executive Chef at Zuma NYC before becoming the Corporate Executive Chef of the Lure Group overseeing all Clinton Hall venues, Slate and Slate Rooftop.

Fun facts:

She adores her dogs dearly and is an animal lover. She is an avid NJ Devils fan. Her guilty pleasures are K-Dramas and puzzles. She has a strong sweet tooth for fruity candy and traditional Korean snacks. Her favorite bands are the Foo Fighters & Nicotine Dolls.
